Never Apologize, Never Explain?

gonzocanuckWell, I do feel I have to explain :-D I've finally come to understand that whole serenity prayer that's plastered everywhere. I think one of the hardest things in life is acceptance, whether it's accepting you can't fit into your high school jeans or the juicer that seemed like such a good idea.
I love autumn, because whether you like that winter is coming or not, it slides you gracefully into weather you will have to accept, like it or not. I think it's safe to say that this website will never be the way it used to be, unfortunately and I've accepted that. It's hard to let go of something that I have put so much time into, but it comes down to several things, such as
I had all the time in the world ten years ago when I worked part time at the library, but now with work, school, volunteering and family, I just don't have it anymore. I spend 1.5 hours every day commuting, I want to read more and spend more time working on my application for art school. The web just isn't a big part of my life anymore. It's also hard for me to web develop anymore. You know how people say something went out of them, and they could never do that thing again? I used to love tweaking HTML so much, but it's just not there. It makes me sad, but no amount of throwing myselt at HomeSite will ever bring it back. But TGTH isn't quite down for the count yet :-)
I figured I should hop on blog bandwagon and figured this would be the easiest way to update the site. I can tag posts, and let people search for what they want. If you friend this journal, you'll get updates on LJ, and I believe there's an RSS thingamag that I have to figure out yet.

- a mortgage, which is a good way to cure any collector of their eBay habit
- going back to school
- trying to squeeze in as much driving practice as I can
- travelling more - we spent the last part of August on the road
- Christmas craft sales - people like my work and are willing to pay for it :-)
- and the big one, time.
